OVERVIEW

Samuel Jinks delivers pragmatic and focused advice to his clients thanks to a blend of experience and technical training. Prior to training as a patent attorney, Sam worked in the nuclear energy and aerospace engineering sectors as an engineer. As an attorney, he has a background both in-house for a large telecommunications provider and in private practice.

Sam has drafted and prosecuted applications for patents and registered designs all over the world for individual inventors and multinational corporations in technical fields across telecommunications, audio and video coding, network technologies, machining technologies, automotive safety, and consumer products. He also has experience in FRAND and non-FRAND patent licensing, patent infringement, and validity disputes.

A keen car enthusiast and a self-confessed technology obsessive, Sam seeks to combine his love of all things automotive and high-tech with intellectual property and has experience working with clients in both the automotive and high-tech sectors. When not in the office, Sam enjoys engineering projects at home (preferably involving things with an engine) and is often to be found in his workshop restoring old arcade machines.
