Jasmine Lau

OVERVIEW

Technical advisor Jasmine Lau is an engineer by training with a B.S. from the University of California, Berkeley. Her introduction to IP Law first came as a Form+Fund fellow at Berkeley’s School of Law Center for Law and Business.

Previously, Jasmine was an innovation project manager at the Sutardja Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology (SCET), Berkeley’s premier institution for “technology-centric” innovation. She also co-founded and led a portfolio of technical projects with various engineering teams from SCET. 

While at Berkeley, Jasmine was a member of a blockchain and fintech lab under Professor Lukasz Kowalski. There, she developed DBMS designs using MongoDB. In addition, she has experience working on projects in Python, Java, C, C++, SQL, assembly, RISC-V, Scheme, Kotlin, and Android.

Prior to HG, Jasmine worked briefly in consulting. She was the 2020 national winner of L’Oreal Groupe’s annual international case competition and worked with the international team developing new technology and products. She also had experience as a social education instructor and a marina dockmaster.
