HG Law Earns Gold Honors in Juristat’s 2025 Top Patent Firms

Feb 17, 2026 | Rankings & Awards

HG Law has been recognized in Juristat’s 2025 edition of Top Patent Firms, earning Gold in both Normalized Allowance Rate and Normalized Time to Allowance, and Silver in Normalized Office Actions to Allowance. The firm was also named among top performers in the Computer Science/IT and Consumer Electronics industry categories.

Juristat’s annual rankings are built entirely on USPTO performance data. There are no submissions, no entry fees, no pay-to-play. For 2025’s edition, Juristat redesigned their research around independent metric honors and CPC-based industry views, recognizing more than 600 firms across categories with Gold status indicating firms among the top tier nationally for that measure of prosecution performance in each metric.

HG’s Gold honors in Normalized Allowance Rate and Normalized Time to Allowance reflect HG’s ability to secure patent grants at a high rate and with efficient timelines, even after adjusting for examiner difficulty. The Silver recognition in Normalized OAs to Allowance further underscores a prosecution approach that minimizes unnecessary cycles with the Patent Office.

“This recognition affirms what our clients already know – HG delivers sophisticated prosecution outcomes typically associated with much larger practices,” said Andy Hilton, Partner at HG’s London office. “Gold in both Normalized Allowance Rate and Time to Allowance reflects the precision and efficiency our clients rely on.”

Industry placement in Computer Science/IT and Consumer Electronics aligns with HG’s deep technical bench. The firm’s attorneys and patent agents are engineers first, with advanced degrees in electrical engineering, computer science, mechanical engineering, and physics, enabling prosecution strategies grounded in genuine technical fluency.
