Orion M. Jusuf

Technical Advisor

New York, NY

OVERVIEW

Orion joined Haley Guiliano in 2024 after graduating from Northwestern University with an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering and a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering with a minor in Computer Science. Through his coursework, Orion was able to amass foundational knowledge in a variety of scientific and engineering disciplines. This background allows him to develop an interdisciplinary understanding of complex inventions and effectively communicate them in his role as Technical Advisor.

During his time at Northwestern, he contributed to several design teams where he designed and built a haptic robotic interface for dexterous manipulation, an abdominal compression device for reducing organ motion during MR-guided adaptive radiation therapy, and an assistive device for violinists with paraplegia. He also pursued his interest in themed attraction design, presenting novel designs for interactive attractions, ride vehicles, and safety devices to an industry panel during a competition presented by Universal Creative.

Previously, Orion worked at Shirley Ryan AbilityLab as a Biomechanics Research Intern. His work there involved using computational models of arm and hand anatomy, forward dynamics simulations, and optimal control theory to extrapolate biomechanical factors leading to functional weakness following wrist surgeries.
