OVERVIEW
Prior to joining the firm, Michael worked as a Battery Materials Engineer at Tesla. He served over 4 years as a founding member of a team that specialized in research & development and scale-up of high-energy, low-cost cathode. While there, he grew into a team lead and gained hands-on experience in materials characterization technologies, including cell fabrication and testing. Before entering the battery and EV space, Michael additionally worked with SDG Group as a Business Intelligence Consultant, focusing on big database architecture and back-end development in Qlik.
He completed his undergraduate studies in a 5 year, dual-degree program between Fordham University and Columbia University. During this time, he spent summers working in labs where he found his interest in novel technologies and patent law. This includes his work in product design at Princeton University’s Audio Engineering 3D3A Lab and a fellowship in ceramic nanomaterials synthesis at the National Institute of Standards & Technology (NIST).
Outside of work, Michael loves aimless times with his friends, drawing, writing, being at the beach whenever he can, and indulging in good food and coffee.
