Matthew Placide started as a Technical Advisor at Haley Guiliano in 2020. Matthew received his Electrical Engineering, B.S. in 2020 from Santa Clara University, which exposed him to the many fields within Electrical Engineering, including electromagnetics, circuit design, chip design, and software simulation. Matthew’s work experience consists of a summer internship at Design Visionaries in 2019, where he helped build a tool path on a jet engine lip for a client using a Fanuc robot in NX 12 – a computer aided design software. In addition, Matthew interned for GDS Link in the summer of 2018, which involved building layouts for clients in a program called CASECenter using HTML and JavaScript. His senior thesis, Developing a Skin Phantom for the Testing of Biowearables , was an interdisciplinary project that built synthetic skin to mimic skin’s electrical properties.
