Matthew J. Placide

Matthew Placide started as a Technical Advisor at Haley Guiliano in 2020. A 2020 graduate of Santa Clara University, Matthew concentrated his studies within Electrical Engineering, including electromagnetics, circuit design, chip design, and software simulation. His senior thesis, Developing a Skin Phantom for the Testing of Biowearables, was an interdisciplinary project that built synthetic skin to mimic skin’s electrical properties. Matthew’s work experience consists of a summer internship at Design Visionaries in 2019, where he helped build a tool path on a jet engine lip for a client using computer-aided design software, Fanuc robot in NX 12. In addition, Matthew interned for GDS Link in the summer of 2018, where he was involved in building layouts for clients in a program called CASECenter using HTML and JavaScript.
