Mario Derevjanik joined Haley Guiliano in 2019 as an associate. Mario’s practice includes all aspects of intellectual property law, with an emphasis on preparation and prosecution of patent applications and patent portfolio management, both in the US and abroad. Mario has experience conducting infringement, invalidity, and freedom to operate analyses, and he also has experience in post-grant proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board.
Mario has experience in a multitude of technologies, including: consumer electronics, semiconductors devices and fabrication, digital imaging devices, electrical and medical devices, consumer products and nanotechnology.
Prior to joining Haley Guiliano, Mario was a patent attorney in the prosecution group of a boutique law firm where he worked with clients from large corporations, and universities on a broad range of intellectual property matters.
Before practicing patent law, Mario worked for close to a decade as a chemical engineer with chemical, pharmaceutical and petrochemical industries providing consulting service with their environmental compliance.
