Anthony Boiano prepares and prosecutes patent applications for clients from a wide range of industries including software, computer networks, media technology, mobile technology, microelectromechanical, and mechanical systems. He has additionally analyzed the validity of patents, prepared claim charts, reviewed prior art, and prepared freedom to operate and invalidity opinions.
Prior to joining Haley Guiliano, Anthony worked as a Technical Advisor at Ropes & Gray LLP. Anthony received his M. Eng and B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering with minors in Systems Engineering and Applied Economics and Management from Cornell University. He has experience in embedded design, mobile and web development, computer architecture, automotive engineering, robotics, circuits and networks.
Anthony has industrial experience working as an electrical engineer for a leading control and automation company where he developed firmware for media distribution systems and for shading and lighting control devices.
Anthony has hands-on experience designing, developing, and constructing a Formula 1 style racecar as a team leader for Cornell’s Formula SAE project team. Anthony’s interdisciplinary experience includes machining and assembling mechanical components for the vehicle, integrating sensors into mechanical components, and designing the vehicle’s first CAN based data acquisition device and data display.
Anthony also founded Cornell’s Resistance Racing project team, the first project team at Cornell to explore development of a fully electric vehicle.
